Wow, 3 V8s?!? You are a brave man. I would think your problem is on
the instrument cluster end... There is probably an electrical contact
that requires cleaning (deoxidizing). You will have to remove the dash
pad, Instrument Cluster, then disassemble and clean all the contacts on
the IC.
Check the archives under 'IC cluster (again)' for more info:

Last tip is to leave the dash pad off for a week to make sure you got it
on the first go around. ;-)

Subject: [V8] "Brake Pad Light" & "Cat Light"
I have been trying to get the brake pad light and the blinking Cat light
off for 2 months.
I replaced the brakes, disconnected the battery, touched the 2 wires
together, disconected the plug and nothing turns the warning off. Is
there something I am doing wrong? It's a 1991 V8 with the UFO brakes
(sensor is separate from pads).
Also, On the same car the "Cat Light" will not stop blinking. I have
check the wire connection and tightened up the sensor to make sure it
had a good connection, but the light keeps blinking away. The car run
great so I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. It started
months ago when I drove through a big puddle and has not gone off since.
Any help would be appreciated!!
