  I don't own a vag-com, but here is what I see - this is off the top of
my head and may possibly send you in the right direction:


00525 - Oxygen Sensor (G39)
             01-10 - Signal Shorted to B+ - Intermittent
---This one will give you poor gas milage - and possibly surging or low
power because it is dumping unburned fuel - or it could be a symtom of
something else.  Not a bad idea to replace the OXS every 30K


00521 - CO Fuel Trim Pot. (G74)
             01-00 - Signal Shorted to B+

---I think, again I think this is referring to your TPS (throttle position
sensor) This may be your problem - test the TPS for proper adjustment - I
had one that had a improporly adjusted throttle cable and made the car do
all sorts of things - including a limp on the tranny.


00789 - Backup Switch (F41)
             02-10 - Signal Shorted to Ground - Intermittent

---No big deal unless the tranny does something about it, like limp home.


00529 - Engine Speed Signal Missing
             01-10 - Signal Shorted to B+ - Intermittent

---More than likely no big deal - If the car is running when you test it,
this should go away - If it doesn't the car shouldn't be running at all.


00549 - Fuel Consumption Signal
             02-10 - Signal Shorted to Ground - Intermittent


---Your readout on the cluster will give you incorrect MPG readings.
