Yes, you all are correct this is Dino Muphy's old car.
I have been in contact with him via e-mail and phone for the past 4 months, ever since he announced that he would be selling the car. I'm doing a contract in So Cal and tried on many occasions to drive down to Yuma to see and drive the car. I hoped he would show me his flying machines. Well when you work for the best nation in the world, your schedule is Uncle Sams. So we never met up.
I need to get up to Seattle in the next 2 weeks to pick up the car. I thought of a transport company to deliver it, but I do not have any experience with this industry. Can anyone recommend a Reputable Auto Transport Service? If not, then I may still fly/drive it back. Let me reword that sentence - "I will Fly/Fly her back."
Dino has always talked highly of this car and claims that it is in Excellent condition. I was told by his father that the car had the Engine replaced by Audi under warranty @ 89K (timing belt, before the 90/60k interval change). Once he got it back to Seattle he had it in the shop to have a new rack put in. This is why I cannot pick it up right away, it is getting an alignment this week.
My list of German cars will grow to 6. 2 '90 V8s, 1 '91 V8 (5-speed I cannot wait), '02 A4 1.8TQM, '86 Jetta GLI, and if it counts the '00 Prowler. My very first car was German, a 1971 Opel Kadett w/1100CC engine. You know there were little things about that car that made it great! Power was not one of them.
Enough said and let me know about the Auto Transport.
Scott.

Scott;
Congratulations! By chance, are you buying Dino Murphy's car?
You do not need a special form for a Bill of Sale in the State of
Washington,
but
you will need something to show the Dept of Licensing reps what the
sale
price is.
It can be simply a handwritten statement saying "On this date, I have
sold my
1991 Audi V8Q to Scott Matus for $1.00" Signed & dated by the seller.
The WA
St Title has a place for the seller to sign and put a value in.
One word of caution, the State accepts the value of a used car based on
Kelly's or
other authorized Value Book. If the V8 is not listed, then they have a
warped
formula to calculate value. If what you state is not within 20% of
that
value or whatever
value is listed in Kelly's, you'll need a form completed by the seller
stating why the car
was sold for less, otherwise, they will charge you Sales Tax on THEIR
assessed value,
not what you say you paid. It's often a big deal when you're paying
8.8%
Sales Tax.
Got any questions, give me a call.
Best regards,
Richard Morris

Subject: [V8] Bill of Sale / Purchase Agreement
I just started the process of adding the 4th Audi to the Fleet.
I'm in need of a Bill of Sale / Purchase Agreement for the deal.
Can someone send me a copy of form that they have used in the past. If
you
have a state specific contract the transaction will take place in
Washington
state.
Thanks in advance.
