I've listed my V8 for sale on eBay. The auction is a seven day auction and
will end on Sunday. Although bidding is pretty brisk, I will be surprised
if the car sells. I am very pleased with the way the car performs right at
the moment, and will be sad to see it go.

I have one bidder who has said he wants to have last refusal if the car
doesn't meet reserve (which I will not reveal), so he will get a call if the
car makes it through the auction. If he doesn't buy it, then I will take it
to Owls Head Transportation Museum's New England Auto Auction in August and
see how that goes. I am not sure if I will enter it without reserve at that
auction or not. Every time I drive the car I fall in love all over again,
and am not sure if I can part with it.

Right now the "fleet" in this yard consists of my '93 V8, my wife's '94 100
Quattro Avant, my "daily driver", a 1 Ton Chevy 4x4 Extended cab pickup and
the plow truck, which is a near mint, '92 Ford F150 flareside (aka "The
Runt"). In restoration is a '91 20 Valve Avant. I am picking up a
Mitsubishi Fuso box truck for one business today. It seems that there are
so many vehicles around that I should get rid of something....and the V8
gets driven so little it seems the logical choice.

We'll see...I won't give it away, and rather than just sacrifice it, I'll
just put it in the barn for a while.

This Quattro V8 sickness is a terrible thing!

Roger
