[V8] V8 electrical: turn signals and stereo

... the problem with the radio is likely to be the on/off switch itself.  It
sounds as though you are fairly mechanically handy ... I had one do this
myself, I was going to try to go in there and figure out the switch
mechanism, but haven't had time.  I also swapped over to a Gamma model head
unit, so it isn't a problem per se.  

I suspect that your second problem is a result of the first, and it is
related to the emergency flasher switch which sits in the panel above the
radio.  I've had this switch go out on #344 ... tried to repair it but was
unsuccessful ... I ended up buying a new switch.  You may want to try
reseating the connector on the back.  It might also be worthwhile checking
some other functions ... can you turn on and off the ABS with the switch on
that panel?  Do the front and rear fogs work correctly?  If not, the problem
may be related to a bad ground to that panel ...
