[V8] V8 electrical: turn signals and stereo

... interesting note ... I've never seen that sort of failure before.  I
also like your solution for switching power.  With this set up you could
actually hard wire the switch in the deck on if it were having problems ... 

While I haven't done this on any car since the urq, my solution to emulate
the 'murkin car stereo power setup is to use the switch in the ignition lock
which controls the chime that comes on when the key is left in the ignition.
Since I did not know the power draw of the stereo or the current capacity of
the switch I used the switch to energize a relay that switched power to the
stereo.  The nice thing about this solution was that you didn't need to have
the proper key to actuate the switch installed ... any key that closed the
switch would allow the radio to be used.
