A 'friend of the family' (too bad the Godfather didn't drive a V8) in
Austria is trying to do some research on our right hand drive cousins...
I sent him the magazine articles / info that I had on the Australian
cars (thanks Greg):

"The Australian V8 is right hand drive and a little different then your
model. There where no options available at all but they were fairly
optioned up as standard with 16" wheels, sports seats etc. but no seat
heaters (not really needed in Australia) and no airbags (Audi Australia
thought the cars were safe enough without them.) Price new in 1990 was
$134.000 Australian Dollars or equivalent to 4 of the top of the range
Australian Ford's."

IIRC left hand cars were shipped to Japan, making UK and Australia the
only RHD markets... (I also know of at least 1 LHD V8 that found it's
way to Australia...)

Anyone have any additional info? Especially UK info...?

TIA,

- Jeremy
