It may be coincidental, but I found that a vacuum leak was causing a similar
symptom.

I was measuring with a test LED, and the two crank turns per distributor
turn explain that question. I was measuring at the distributor, but have
also checked continuity of the wires to the ECM and they are fine.

The coils are both connected, and short of spending $250 on mew plug wires
I have no way of testing if that is the problem. I'm pretty sure they are
all connected right - if you reverse 2 plug wires it gets really rough
sounding.

I took it for a 20 mile drive this morning to see if the ECM had been reset
and needed to do some relearning. On light throttle or high RPM it tends
to be a bit smoother, although cruising at 65 there was a hesitation every
couple of seconds.

The distributor rotors appear to be lined up with the mark on the
distributors when the crank is at TDC.

Any other ideas?

Dave
