[V8] trans fluid question

Did the trans service on the V8 and want to make sure of how you check the 
fluid level afterwards.  In the 80Q, you check it in Neutral with the engine 
running.  Can't find the procedure anywhere for the V8, so I wanted to 
check.  I have found in the past a lot of manufacturers tell you different 
ways to check the fluid.
