Sound as though you had a clogged radiator which prevented your electric fan
from coming on.

Considering that this car is approaching 14 years, it would be wise to
replace the radiator instead of trying to get it boil out.

Ok so you want to make the fan come on all the time. Buy a 100 ohm resistor
from Radio shack and find the tempertaure sensor plugged into the radiator
(hint: located passenger side of radiator at the bootom) . Unplug the
wiring (spring clip) and use the 100 ohm resistor short the wiring harness
where the sensor once was. This will simulate a overheat condition, (start
your engine)which will cause the fan to come on at 3rd speed, if this
doesn't work then you have other problems.

The fans fusible link is rated at 70 amps IIRC.
