I have to say since I bought mine that I heartily agree. Got a buddy who keeps trying to get me to buy a '93 S4 and go back to the I5/turbo way of life, and I'd love to have a newer S4, and hell, why not a newer A8 or a twin-turbo A6?
Well, as much money as I have (and I'm planning to) put into this one, I just don't want to pull the trigger on another Audi. Sure, it'd be fun, but I would go through all of this again, and what fun would that be? Oh yeah, and my Euros are going on tomorrow, so beyond fixing the "little" things, I don't have any real complaints with the car. And it is still fun as heck to blow someone's doors off because they think it is a V6. Thank the Audi gods for no badging!

And my advice to anyone else with a V8 is to drive it until the wheels fall
off, and then put them on and drive it some more. For whatever it costs to
replace it with anything, a LOT of work can be done on it.
