[V8] exhaust soot and poor gas mileage update

Well, I rechecked the wiring for the oxygen sensor (15.4 mpg combined
city/highway) as I was still getting the code and found that at some point
the outer sheathing had been worn away to where the black lead was 90% worn
through.  So after cutting, stripping, butt-splicing, heatshrinking and
rewrapping (man, that oxs lead is way too long), I got back to almost 19 mpg
around town :-) ~ 23% increase.  So now I run the codes again and I get the
oxs code 2342 AND the 2312 Coolant sensor codes.  Hmm.  Hopefully, changing
out that sensor will take care of both codes...
