[V8] exhaust soot and poor gas mileage update

Replaced the temp sensor at the back of the pass side cylinder head and so
far so good. One noticeable difference (hey, I've only been able to test it
at night so far) is that the previously "sticking" or higher than normal
idle is back to where it should be (650-800). What an easy sensor to
replace. I just backed the car up on my Rhino rams to minimize coolant loss
(as I believe Dave Head suggested), let her cool down and had the old sensor
out and the new one in within 10 minutes...
Cleared the codes and will recheck tomorrow.
