[V8] Oil leaks

I've managed to corral my smoking V8 by the installation of drip trays to
prevent oil hitting the header downpipes and the cross pipe. It's working
great. No more smoking and just the odd whiff of oil every now and then.

Now that it's channeling the oil to one spot I see I am losing on the ground
a guess, in the range of 1 oz or 20 ml per trip.

If I drive 5 days per week I have about a 1/2 a pop can hitting ground. Or
two full cans in a month. A case of 24 cans per year.

This is run-off into our water supply, so I'll have to provide for another
catch system.... or just pull the flippin heads and fix it.

I don't know if it is worth it..... A6 Avant or A8? That is the question!

On its own the V8 looks great, but beside anything newer, whew she's looking
her age.
