[V8] Stories from the ditchline

Ouch!  Glad you're OK.  Never did that in the V8, though I did did hit a
patch of black ice in my '78 Scirocco New Year's Eve back in '84.  Slid into
the ditch backwards and had to dig out gravel out of the engine compartment
after being towed out later.  Didn't hit anything, though and had absolutely
no damage.  It really was something wathcing the rear wheels on the tow
truck spin because of the lack of traction.  I'll never forget that (and my
ex-girlfriend won't either).
