Sounds like your brake booster, aka "the bomb" has lost it's nitrogen
charge and needs to be replaced. The good news is that it's the easiest
type 44 hydraulic accumulator to change.
The pads have a (separate on the V8Q with UFO's) built in wear sensor,
which once it activates does not shut the warning light off until the
pads are changed or it's jumped.
