[V8] Leather seats

Hi guys!
I am looking for some advice / hints on how to care for my leather seats .
My 1990 V8q is in mint shape and want to make sure that the leather seats
remain soft and don't start to crack .  I have been thinking of using plain
saddle soap . I have seen a can of leather care liquid at the local Audi
dealer but don't want to spend the Audi $ . I am worried it may contain
silicon based fluids and I don't want to make the seats slippery .( What
good is having 4 wheel traction if one's butt looses traction on the seat
;-))
Is the dash and door panels also leather ?? Also , I am looking for a
replacement driver floor matt / carpet ( grey ) .
