[V8] Emergency Pentosin ?

I want to thank all who responded to my request for an alternate to
Pentosin.
I picked up one can in Bethel Maine and four more in Auburn. I spaced them
out
in 120 mile intervals for the 480 mile trip from Auburn to Lancaster county
PA.
When I came to my driveway I barely made the turn and climb to our garage.
As I think about what I have just done I realize how foolish it was.
The Power steering reservoir and pump also supplies pressure to the brake
assist.
This trip could have been disastrous. As I crossed the Tappan Zee
bridge the traffic was pretty crazy. If I had lost brakes and steering then,
they would have been fishing me and Suzanne out of the Hudson.
I would have been better off to find a good Audi shop and rent a car back to
PA.
I will let you know what happened after I get it to my local shop.
Ralph Cook
