The Nippondenso 10P17C compressor was used on most if not all Audis from 
87 to 91. Rebuild kits are readily available. You might consider a used 
one from a breaker to install or have rebuilt in advance. I would 
suggest you try to find an AC shop that is willing to rebuild for you. 
The condensor is readily available aftermarket - even with shipping from 
the US you'll save money over the dealer. I had one rebuilt several 
years back for my 87 tq for $175.00.
