Unless I am mistaken, there was a write up in EC which featured the V8 DTM cars. They were 4.2 liter engines with a 180 degree "Flat" Crankshaft (essentially making the engine behave as if it were 2 four cylinder engines welded together). The DTM engine produced 425 horsepower at 8000? RPM. Doubt that any found their way into production vehicles though.
