Very common. Usually broken wires in the rubber boot of the
driver's door. This would affect your windows and power seat
memory switch. See:

The end of the boot has a lip or channel into which the
door sheet metal fits. Just push on the side of the boot
at the door (or jamb) and it should move the rubber channel
away from the sheet metal. Work your way around until it
is free.

You shouldn't have to get in behind the door panel, unless
you find the window regulator is broken. I repaired my wiring
just by working in the tight space between the door and the
jamb.
