Yup - I fouled the NGKs that were in my car and needed a set of plugs
NOW. All Advanced Auto had were Autolites but for $.93 ea, I wasn't
complaining. Now that I've changed the O2 sensor, even with the
Autolites my mileage is back into the low 20s - woohoo!!
Bosch Platinums are the worst plug ever invented. I've driven 16v
VWs for decades (man, I'm getting old) and every VW I've driven with
Bosch Platinums has misfired and generally run like crap. Since the
V8 is a fairly close derivative of the 16v VW motor, the same holds
true. OE works just fine, no need to spend extra money .
