[V8] Creaking from rear suspension - upgrading the suspension bits?

Mine does it too.
I can make it go away for a little while by removing the rear wheels,
peeling back the rubber boot on the outer top trap rod ends, and squirting
lithium grease liberally into the ball joint end.
Shuts it up for a week or so unless it rains sooner.
I have seen a part number for just the outboard end of the trap rod, but
most vendors sell only the complete assembly - I seem to recall about $150
per side, but don't quote me.
I've thought about drilling from the rear of the sealed fitting and putting
in a grease nipple, but access isn't real good, so I might as well bite the
bullet and replace the trap rods after I do the, and the, and the . . .
