If the shroud was not installed properly, and the required bolts were not
replaced, I think you are completly justified in asking them to re-do the job
with new parts and a master tech.
Get ready for them to mysteriously find more expensive worn out parts though.
Your next question of course will be WTF did you not find this the first time?
You can also bet nothing was torqued to spec. In lots of cases, the factory
specifies a torque for a good reason. In this case, they may be accounting for
heat expansion or something.
If you are really having warping issues, maybe the caliper is hanging up
somehow? Maybe there is some other suspension component that is worn out causing
a brake shimmy?
My rotors (UFO) were used when I got the car 60K miles ago and are still fine. I
recently replaced the pads with no issues too. I did not turn the rotors either.
They are not flat - there are some small wear ridges and such but the car stops
straight and true.
In fact, I don't turn rotors anymore unless there has been damage - and then I
would probably just replace it.
