I have seen as high as 27mpg at a steady 75 going from Las Vegas to
Oklahoma City. That was only one tank, the trip average 25.2 MPG. It used to
average around 19.5 in the city. However, it now gets about 18 MPG, mostly
highway driving. Nothing significant has changed in the time it went down.
Since 260k it's had the same O2, K&N (cleaned regularly), Autolite plugs
every 10k, same wires, etc. Going through it one of these days, I'll post on
it if the gas milage goes up significantly.
On the milage ratings, it was rated at 14MPG city, 18MPG highway. NEVER have
I gotten that bad of gas milage. I'm sure it's possible, but I haven't
anyhow.
Oh, this is all figured on a 1991 3.6 Auto, 250k when I bought it, near 310k
now.
