[V8] Cold start problemo

An easy check for fuel pressure bleed down is to cycle the key "on"
for 10 seconds 2 or 3 times, before turning to "start" this allows
the fuel pump to cycle a few times and rebuild pressure. If it
fires right up then there is a good chance it's loosing fuel
pressure. Could be FPR or check valves.

When V8 #1 needed a new FPR, it had to crank long enough for the
fuel pump
to repressurize the system, which took several seconds, if I
remember
correctly. That was in the summer, so "cold" cold starting wasn't
the
case. I don't remember mashing the throttle, just having to crank
longer.
Probably a whole different system thing, but when mashing the
throttle was
the only way I could cold-start my 200q20v, a new set of plugs,
wires and
rotor made it go correctly again.
