[V8] 1990 V8 Quattro locks question

... I know I'm late to the party on this ... 

The pneumatic locks are triggered from both the driver's and front passenger's doors ... are both malfunctioning?  If both don't work it isn't likely to be the driver's door loom or switch mechanism.  

Of course you can also have the broken lock ring ... or the pump just isn't working.

How are you getting the fuel filler door open?
