OK, what do you guys think about the below situation?

-----------------------------------------
I think you are right on. I don't think there will be any problems
putting the ET43 wheels where they belong with a spacer. I think where
you run into problems is when you do like I did and put them somewhere
else, like 15mm out... I expect that I may eat the wheel bearings at
some point sooner than I would have at the stock spot, but am not sure.
I assume you would not have this problem at ET33 (or 35), but don't know
for sure.
On the other hand, my wheels functionally have an offset of ET20 now,
which is that much closer to the centerline of the wheel. So maybe my
wheel bearings will last longer than yours... Oh I don't know, this is
a question for the list... I will let you know what they think!
Cheers,
- Jeremy
<Snip>
the OE are 15"x 7.5" with a 35mm offset
so If I've followed correctly I'd need a 10mm spacer (I'm assuming they
don't make 8mm) which would leave me an offset of 33mm
What I'm wondering is am I going to cause stress or weaken the
functioning
structure?
thanks for your time and help,
James
