[V8] valve springs

And totally off any topic, I found this Keith a couple years back. It's
a bit late getting back, but I wanted to clarify: it was $4 and $8
*each spring*, not each set...

Related, I use the VW diesel valve springs in the race car -- heavier
duty and have VW part numbers. Wonder if they're interchangable w/
those in the PT/ABH?

Whatever...

Would anyone know if the 3.6 valve springs are the same
as those in a VW 16v head? The dealer quotes ~ $4 for the "inner"
springs (qty: 32) and ~ $8 for the "outer" springs (qty: 32).

ETKA says they are the same springs used in the 2.0 16v Jetta
eng code 9a, also used in a few other engines. 4 and 8 seems like very
cheap prices for valve springs. I paid 20 per valve set for the triple
coils on my old sb Fords and that was 15 years ago.
