Conti's have always been the OEM belt. I've bought Conti's from after
market suppliers, and I guess the volume is so small they didn't even
bother to remove the Audi Rings or part numbers from the belts.
More important is manufacturing date, the last Conti timing belt I bought
(no OEM number or Rings this time) came in a plastic bag with a
manufacturers date on it. It was almost a year old before it reached me
in the supply line.
