  Jason,

Check out Motorgeek.com. Plenty of guys putting the
PT motor in all sorts of stuff (mainley other Audis)
but worth a look. Hell maybe you'd change you'r mind &
put the motor in a 4kq, or 90q,
or something along those lines.
Trannys are cheap enough any 85-4kq's(or is that the
86?) with the 4:11 tarnnys, 87-88 5kq's non turbos
have the 4:11 tranny, the 100q's allso had the 4:11
trannys, cause you'll want to use that rear diff from
the V8 (cause the ratio is 4:11). You can find the
flywheel & such on the Motorgeek web site as well.
Theres a GB of the Fidanzia ones (9lbs) going on now.
I think they were around $425 or so.
The V8 motor only weighs around 500lbs it's all
aluminum. Trust me I know me & a friend have carried 3
of them around.
Hopefully next Summer I'll have found a 4.2 motor &
I'll be putting that in my 90 V8 along with a 6sp
conversion. Then I'll put the 3.6 motor in a 4kq or
something.
 Good luck.
