Isn't there a published TSB indicating per Audi that the revised fill is 
8qts, not 10.
I think this was because of consumption and smoking issues, and mitigated 
a number of them.
I will check AllData, but I recall seeing something about it.

If I run synthetic I NEVER change at 3k miles, waste of money.
I shoot for 5-7k, even in a turbo car unless I've been at the track.

Change your engine oil less frequently and put the dollars saved into 
doing a yearly tranny service.
I've been told these slushboxes are pricey...  (course mines already 
rebuilt!)
