... are you saying that you tried to use the built in de-icer and it
didn't work?  You should be able to pull on the door handle latch to
activate the de-icer circuitry ... not much call for it out here in
sunny CA, but I know I hear the relay click on and off if it is cold and
quiet when I go out to the car ...
