[V8] Oil & Rubber . . .

The oil capacity varies a little. Start by adding 8, run the engine
briefly, give it a good several minutes to drain back into the sump,
then check. My 5spd is full with 8, my auto is not.
I ran Rotella 15W40 last summer, and Valvoline 10W30 now. Used to run
Mobil 1 15W50 and then 10W30, but with 2 v8's I started using Dino oil
again.
Not as many tire choices in the stock size, but you can still get a
good tire. Some have gone up to 225/60-15 to get a better selection.
I have Dunlop SP5000 in that size on the stock BBS rims (1991), Dunlop
SP8000 225/50-16 on 16x8 BBS rims, and 255/40-17 Sumitomo HTR Z II on
17x9 Cup 1 replica wheels.

I assume that's the total capacity, but during changes is it still about 10? Also what weight oil are you folks using? (I always run full synth and still change every 3K).
