... both of my '91s have the strut lifters ... frankly, I wish I had the
springs! Scott's note talks about "no more getting knocked on the head" ...
well I've had more problem with those struts than with the springs ... at
least they were adjustable!
That said, I am amazed to see how robust the struts for the hood are! I
can't say I've ever *needed* to replace them ... strangely enough, one of
the '91s seems a bit weak ... but I wonder what it is about these ...
probably the longer stroke ...

It also says that this was standard after July of 1990... My V8, June '90,
has them (VIN 77474). Must be one of the first :-)

Wasn't there in 92 or? which had the hydrolic rear
trunk lifts (like the Urs cars) & not the spring type
of the eirlier type 44's? (5k'q, 200, & 100's)
