I did my first belt, which in fact was like doing it 3 times, don't ask,
misfire, brand new dist cap with broken plug lead, under the cover, must
have dropped it, with the radiator in place. The next time will be
without. Why do you have to drop the AC compressor? Been awhile since I've
been under the car, did I just say that? OH S...T, I know what I'm doing
this weekend.......................

... me too, but you do have to remove the upper & lower radiator hoses
to get at the TB covers.
That said, it isn't really that difficult to pull the bumper, drop the
A/C Condenser and pull the oil cooler lines and remove the core support
... access to the front of the engine to evaluate the parts is much
better without the radiator in the way!
I would also recommend against trying to preserve fluid by leaving the
upper hose attached to the flanges on the head ... I did this with an
almost brand new hose and ended up damaging the internal reinforcement
... so that shortcut effectively cost $150 or so ...
