I definitely will pull the bumper this time as I have only recently
learned how easy it is.  You're making the rest of it sound very
attractive.  Being able to really see everything would be pretty
sweet.

... me too, but you do have to remove the upper & lower radiator hoses
to get at the TB covers.

That said, it isn't really that difficult to pull the bumper, drop the
A/C Condenser and pull the oil cooler lines and remove the core
support
... access to the front of the engine to evaluate the parts is much
better without the radiator in the way!

I would also recommend against trying to preserve fluid by leaving the
upper hose attached to the flanges on the head ... I did this with an
almost brand new hose and ended up damaging the internal reinforcement
... so that shortcut effectively cost $150 or so ...
