What do you mean by slip? - what were the conditions and so on?  Heavy
load?, Low fluid?, Steep hill?  - I think your high rev before shifting
problem could be as simple as the Selector switch under the armrest(even
if it looks as though it is in E - it may think it is in S) - of course
nothing is simple.  Good luck.
