My profuse thanks to Dave, Keith, Jeremy et al not withstanding, I had
another brain fart.
I said" Despite many warnings to be sure that I did all this, I had a
brain fart and ended up with both old sensors removed and couldn't
swear which belonged where. Thus, after reassembling and finding that
the car wouldn't start, I had to completely repeat the entire process
and switch the sensors, reassemble and... no start."
Well, the truth is that I didn't have to redo EVERYTHING, just switch
the connectors.
Man, talk about understatement! JUST switch the connectors. Yep,
that's all.
Except that I found that making the connections to be the worst part of
the job and the most time consuming part, even counting that you can't
see the two 10 mm bolts that hold the pot-metal holder to the block and
you can barely get both a wrench on them at the same time you have a
hand in there to turn the wrench in the first place. Undoing and
redoing those bloody connectors is by far the worst part of the job and
it's a *&%$#@*!
Just so that you know... And for the record, the GE now runs like a
scalded bat, just like it did when I picked it up from AudiConnection.
Thanks again, Keith and Bruce!
Bart
