I'd agree with Kent. I modified mine for a cubby under there, and I must say 
it is built pretty strong. No worry about failure on a used part.
The are pretty plentiful as well. I know of a few of us on the list that 
have parted out V8's, so if you can't find one local, give that a try.

No matter what you decide, just make sure they plan on making your car the 
same as it was before the accident.
