[V8] Slight acceleration issue

Could be all of what Dave said - I would start with the O2 - if it is old
it needs to be done anyway - I was going through about 1 every 45k or so -
before she died - rest her soul.  She may be resurected (slightly) soon -
in the form of a v8 trooper!
