Frankly if its not going over 100C, I don't see that it is overheating.

As for the poor miles per gallon, check the obvious first - plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter (most important)

Check the blade fuse, located on the drivers side under the hood, follow
the wires. If the fuse is OK, check the archives, there's plenty in
there on the various things that can cause overheating.
