Since I had already looked at the bulbs and they appeared to be fine, I
proceeded on the wild goose chase confused by obfuscation and
non-clarification along the way. Although neither bulb was burned out and
both filaments were intact, I bought a new pair of H3s and voila`...working
fog lights. Moral of the story, always try the obvious stuff first.
Thanks for the suggestions everybody!
Andy

Subject: [V8] Fog Lights
I am working on sorting out a few minor issues with the 'new' V8. The rear
fog works as it should, but the front fogs do not come on at all. The
triangle inside the switch does not light up whether the switch is depressed
(which may be a mental health issue) or not. I haven't checked the bulbs,
maybe they're both burned out? I used to have a '90 CQ that had the F & R
fog light switches wired in such a way that they both had to be on (or off)
together. Can anybody suggest a logical troubleshooting path?
Also the rear windows (and lighter) are not working, I suppose this is the
dreaded 'wiring to the driver's door syndrome'.
After my first couple of weeks with the car, I must say that the more I
drive it the more I like it!
