[V8] Oil Change woes!!! Filter stuck!

Hey, what about that poor guy in Seattle last month. He had a similar problem and we all told him to sell the car to some poor unsuspecting soul...

;-)

In my panic last oil change when I thoight I had the filter cross threaded (actually forgot to remove the old gasket and caused a huge oil leak all over my driveway), I found the part number for the threaded stud that comes out of the block. If you bugger that up, at least it is replaceable. Mess up the mating surface on the block and it won't be pretty :-(

Good luck man!

Greg,

I can honestly say that in all my years of being on this list and the
Q-List, I have never heard of an oil filter being so stuck and causing so
much grief.

Best of Luck.
