[V8] Oil Change woes!!! Filter stuck!

$450??  Yikes.  How long did it take them?  Towing charges?

Glad to hear it's off though.  I have been reading in amazement
without any ideas to offer.

Was there another gasket from the old filter left on or does it appear
that it was just grossly overtightened?

Once off, did the union/post that it screws onto unscrew from it freely?
