Well part of the cost was things that I purchased myself to make my
tool. Here is the pic of it and like I said if anybody ever needs it
just yell at me and its in the mail.

Towing charges were like 50$ and then labor was nearly 300$ + cash spent
on oil/filter and welding the tool initally and parts of the tool. Plus
beer for Dan Hussey but that goes hand in hand with carwork!

I am not aware of another gasket left the mechanic I trust him very much
cool guy. He may not know audis too well but he sure as hell will do
things the way you ask if you tell him the right way and will let me
watch him do the work if I want. He will even let you get under there
and help or perhaps change something spare yourself if you have the
tools/parts with you they dont care they are mountain men :)

The union post was on the filter when it came out just took a rubber
pliers to it with a cloth around it and gave it a slight nudge took it
out and it was fine. No skuffs on it nothing it :)

I think overall the lesson learnt here is never to take your car to have
the oil changed unless you know the guys and trust them or you do it
yourself at least that is what I learned.
