[V8] Question about Air Filter

Just delete the air filter altogether. There's a screen before the throttle body anyway. That's how mine is and no troubles.
Unrelated, I have this funny knocking sound from inside the oil pan. Any BTDTs?

PS. I actually have a K&N and I want to replace it w/ the oem part. Imprecise oiling might cause the MAF to fail (for example) -- plus, I don't remember seeing a K&N sticker on the V8 dtm cars...

Considering the size of the filter and the insulated cold air intake
system I doubt very seriously you could design a better overall system
as long as you stayed normally aspirated.
