[V8] "No Start" Problem

... Just be sure to use a very small wattage bulb. Any of the light bulbs in and
around the dash should be OK - they are all under 2 watts. Anything bigger than
that risks blowing out the driver in the ECU.

If you decide to go the LED route, use a 600 ohm dropping resistor for a
standard LED. Plus or minus 100 ohms shouldn't hurt too much.
You want 20 milliamps of current to flow through the LED so just divide 12/0.02
to get 600 ohms.


It is also helpful to connect two different color LEDs in parallel - but with
leads reversed - so you get an indication no matter how you hook up the wires.
This gives the best of both worlds.
