[V8] 5-speed article

Keith just did the transplant -- given certain body shop needs, I had to pick the car up before it could adequately be run, tested or fine tuned. More recently, due to certain family affairs, I've been unable to get it back down there to finish up so I've been tackling some final issues myself, in between new babies and a bad cat converter (yes, that blasted carbon canister solenoid is one of them).
For the swap I used the 4.2 intake and cams but retained the 5sp ecu ans chip. Wanted all to be as it should before swapping parts, chips, etc. My original 5-speed 3.6, along with its cams and intake sits in the garage, which I may try out in time.

Are you transplanting a 4.2 into a 1991 V8 5-speed? If so, Keith says the
3.6 has more aggressive curves. You can transplant the 3.6 intake, and use
it's electronics. Then, according to Keith, you will see about 300-310hp out
of the 4.2. Also, the manual 3.6 cars have different cams, and you might be
able to use those as well. Looking at the article, the manual has a lower
power peak by 100 RPM.
