[V8] how to hold sprockets

The step before the quoted material is taking the belt off the cam
sprockets.  The steps in the procedure after you get the vibration damper
bolt loose and the passenger cover off are:    loosen the belt tension
damper and remove its top bolt,  take additional tension off with the
roller with an eccentric and slide the belt off the sprockets.  Then
install the cam keepers and loosen the cam sprocket bolts.
